The Naniwa Dressing Stone is meant for the cleaning of all types of water stones and generates a thin layer of mud that adds an extra polishing effect for finer types of water stones during the sharpening process. The Dressing Stone must be properly wetted before using it. The Dressing Stone is the successor of the Nagura Stone.
